South-West London New Build joint venture development of 16 flats, £13 million GDV
The area of Battersea, across the Thames from Chelsea, is highly sought-after for its closeness to the City of London and West End, and the swift transport connections from Clapham Junction. Quiet streets of roomy Victorian houses, extensive parks and excellent private and State schools have made this a highly popular area for City professionals with young families.
In joint venture with leaseholders in a tired building which occupied a prime plot in low density, we obtained planning permission to replace a low-rise 1950s building with a new block of flats three times the size. We contracted with a design & build construction company to deliver the new building, to the design of our award-winning architect. The project completed successfully with sale of all new flats and the delivery of enhanced new properties to the joint venture leaseholders.
The GDV of this 16 flat development was £13m.
