Our family business in investment property has been running for over 40 years. While working as a young investment analyst in The City, our managing director Ian Shelley’s passion for property found expression in refurbishment of rental flats. Our initial property development was the refurbishment of Belgravia property in prime central London for rental. The market here is demanding, and we relish working to the exacting standards expected.

From 1990 to 2005 Ian Shelley was a director of Brompton Land plc, managing prime London property investments for external investors. For the past 20 years Brompton’s property business has been in private family ownership. From 2003 to 2012 we operated our prime central London estate agency business within Brompton Ltd. This agency handled sales and lettings primarily of apartments in the prestigious areas of Knightsbridge, Belgravia, Chelsea. The estate agency business owned by Brompton Ltd, with offices at Sloane Square and in The City, was transferred to our wholly-owned company Sloane Estate Ltd in 2012, retaining the Brompton trading name. Our recent expansion has been into commercial property (Brompton Estate Ltd and Brompton Newport Ltd) as well as property development (Brompton Homes Ltd.)
